GOLFING
With 11 golf courses within 15 miles of the Inn, you’re sure to find the perfect place to play. Just 9 miles away is North Bellingham Golf Course boasting spectacular flowering meadows and flowing hills in true Scottish links style.

SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING
Mt. Baker Ski Area, located about 60 miles from the Inn, averages a whopping average yearly snowfall of over 600 inches. The mountain’s 1,000 ski-able acres are serviced by 8 lifts, 2 rope tows, 2 day lodges and 31 runs. Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest surrounds the ski area, providing numerous summer activities, including hiking, biking, fishing and more.
BIKING, WALKING AND HIKING
When in Dutch-founded Lynden, do like the Dutch do and ride a bike! An overnight stay at the inn includes complimentary use of our Dutch style bicycles for exploring town. We’ll provide a map of bike trails and routes for your outing, you provide the pedal power.
If walking nature trails is more your thing, be sure to visit Berthusen Park. Located on the outskirts of Lynden. The park provides picnic areas, group shelters, playground activities, and a network of walking trails. Or, stroll the newly completed Jim Kaemingk Sr. Trail that meanders through town.
If more exertion and challenge is what you crave, take it to the next level with the many scenic hikes in and around the Mt Baker Recreation Area.

SAY CHEESE
Agritourism is alive and flourishing in Whatcom County. Why not turn your next drive in the country into a progressive picnic with a visit to these fabulous farms; Twin Sisters Creamery, Samson Estates Winery, Appel Farms, Ferndale Farmstead, Acme Farms Cheese.
You will especially enjoy the country charm of Bellewood Farms located close by. The farm store, distillery, gift shop, and cafe feature tasty goods from many local farms in the Pacific Northwest.
LYNDEN ANNUAL EVENTS
Throughout the year, Lynden is host to a variety of fun annual events. There’s the Farmer’s Day Parade in June, the NW Raspberry Festival in July, the Northwest Washington Fair in August, the Lynden Music Festival in October, the Whiskey Event in September and the Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade in December, to name just a few.
Lynden Farmers Market; fresh, local, & in-season. Whatcom County is one of the most productive agricultural areas in all of Washington! Experience the abundance of this beautiful place and taste for yourself why we love living here. Get to know local farmers and crafters. You won’t find fresher ingredients anywhere! (Saturdays 10am-2pm, June through September)
FOR KIDS (OF ALL AGES)
Enjoy a blast from the past by visiting Lynden Skateway, 43 years in business and still rolling! Just one block away.
Also, Lynden’s Million Smiles Park has all the standard swings, slides and climbing equipment, in addition to a spectacular 35-foot tree house, a rock climbing wall, a tire tunnel, access to fish and tadpole watching at nearby Fishtrap Creek and a lot more.
Bender Family Recreational Park (Bender Fields) is a 56-acre ball field complex featuring 21 acres of open space, soccer fields, and lacrosse field, 35 acres of softball, and youth baseball fields. It features 2 large climbing rocks, 4 full size basketball courts, 4 pickleball courts, 1 beach/sand volleyball court, 1-life sized chessboard, and a dirt pump bike track. There is also a 1-acre fenced enclosed "off leash" dog park in the southeast corner of the complex along with picnic shelter, indoor kitchen facility, picnic tables, bocce ball court, large playground, concessions, and restroom facilities.
ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT
With 6 creative art studios, a 110 seat performance hall, 2 floors of exhibit space, a cafe and gallery shop, the Jansen Art Center is a must-visit for art and music lovers. Located just down the street from the Inn.
Another fun place to engage and educate all ages is the Lynden Heritage Museum. Located just a couple blocks from the Inn, visitors can explore three levels full of history and culture.
The 160-seat historic, Claire vg Thomas Theater, puts on at least four productions a year lasting several weeks each, and is within easy walking distance of the inn.
SIMA KARTING FACILITY
Drivers, start your engines! SIMA is the place for family fun - laid-back and competitive racing - located only 20 minutes from the Inn. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned driver hoping to hone your skills, there’s a kart and track for you! Recreational Kart Rentals are available on a drop-in basis.
The Inn at Lynden is a preferred lodging for SIMA participants and spectators.
NORTHWOOD CASINO
